Our company just met with Adobe the other day after cf.Objective() and they let us in some of the elements that they're planning for release - the date will be some time in 2009 for the CF 9 (cf9 in 2009 that's right).
They joked about calling it 'ColdFusion 2008' and release it in 2009, mirroring true Microsoft fashion.
